After 20 years as an ER and trauma nurse, I never imagined my next chapter would involve quite this much beer—but life has a funny way of working itself out!
Gary and I worked together as ER nurses in Naples, which somehow landed me behind the bar at Chubby Mermaid when we first opened. One occasional shift led to another, and as the brewery grew, so did my role. I’ve been full-time since April 2025, now leading our front-of-house team, planning awesome events, and handling whatever flavor of organized chaos each day brings.
I’ll always be a nurse at heart, but Chubby Mermaid has helped me rediscover something I didn’t realize I’d lost: my genuine love for people. I thoroughly enjoy getting to know our regulars, welcoming new faces, planning events, and helping create the kind of place where people come in for a beer and leave as friends.
When I’m not at Chubby, you’ll most likely find me out on the boat, probably fishing and most definitely having a good time!
A couple of fun facts: I’m originally from the Detroit area (GO LIONS!!!) and relocated to Bonita Springs 20 years ago. Oh, and I can tap dance!
